Manusia Jahat Karena Bagian Otak Ini

Mengapa manusia bisa bertindak jahat? Karena ada bagian otak yang membuat perilaku ini terjadi. Neurolog asal Jerman, Dr Gerhard Roth, menemukan bagian otak tersebut. Tampak sebagai massa hitam dalam citra sinar X, terletak di bagian depan bawah otak. Massa hitam didapatkan pada hampir setiap pelaku kriminal.

Roth menemukannya ketika mempelajari para pelaku kejahatan di Jerman yang dihukum bertahun-tahun. Studi ini bagian dari upaya Pemerintah Jerman memahami kejahatan. Dalam studi, Roth meminta para pelaku kejahatan itu melihat film pendek sebelum gelombang di bagian otaknya diukur.

Psikolog dari University of Wisconsin-Madison, Daniel Levinson, mengatakan mereka yang mempunyai kapasitas memori kerja lebih tinggi dilaporkan lebih sering melamun selama mengerjakan tugas-tugas sederhana meskipun prestasi mereka tidak meragukan.
